Geotechnologies in Action!

On our class trip to Danforth CTI we learned how to use a GPS device to navigate around and digital cameras to keep a record of our findings. Then we got to make our very own colourful and detailed maps. Click on the photo for the slideshow.

Leafs' Practice @ACC and the Hockey Hall of Fame

On March 6th, 7Dorotheo, 7Baetz and 7Lee joined 15,000 other students from around the GTA to cheer on our Toronto Maple Leafs at a game-day practice in the Air Canada Center. In the afternoon, we went to the Hockey Hall of Fame and had a fun scavenger hunt learning a lot about hockey’s history in Canada and around the world. Some students got the chance to play some games such as trying to score on a virtual NHL goalie or even trying to stop a puck shot by the great Wayne Gretzky! What we enjoyed the most was seeing the famous hockey players on the ice and at the exhibits, and especially being able to see and touch the famous Stanley Cup!

Remembrance Day Poem

Let us be those who remember the veterans who fought and often died for our freedom in Canada. Add your thoughts by continuing our class poem which we will be presenting at our assembly next Friday.

As you can see, my dad is a veteran of WWII (pictured with Mayor David Miller during a Remembrance Day ceremony) so I have heard of just some of the sacrifices so many have made for us.

Here's my idea for the first line:

Many have fought and died so we can be free...

What's the next line?
It doesn't have to rhyme, but it could end with "country", "liberty", "WWIII", or "me", etc. Please feel free to revise or comment where necessary. If each person adds just 1 line, we'll be done in no time. Remember, we need to have something ready by early next week so we can finalize and rehearse so post your ideas ASAP!
